What’s special about mounts in Guild Wars 2? The mounts in Guild Wars 2 all have different skills. While the raptor can jump particularly far, the jumper jumps particularly high. The griffin glides in the air, the ray hovers over the water. Each individual mount has a special feature that makes it more useful in certain areas than others.

Dragonfall is an awful zone without a flying mount. [Discussion] I'm really enjoying the story of "All or Nothing" (finale chapter to LWS4), but I gotta say, Dragonfall is a pain in the ass to navigate without a flying mount, and even the flying mounts they give you are irritatingly limited. Way too many mobs, way too dense, hitting way too hard. The Griffon mount was added during the Path of Fire expansion and quickly became beloved as the first flying mount in the game. How To Get It. The easiest, no-nonsense way to get a mini Nova Griffon Hatchling is to buy it on the Trading Post. It'll run you (at the time of this writing) about 300 gold.
The Skyscale mount is coming to Guild Wars 2 in the game's next Living World story drop, Episode 6: War Eternal, which will be the final episode of the fourth season. There's no release date yet. The ante, though, has been upped.
Before you start exploring the islands in earnest, you may want to recruit a new friend to help you: a Skyscale. The Skyscale is an extremely versatile mount that can fly, climb up vertical walls
